Many of us said this was the best reunion ever! The weather was typical Oregon Coast, misty and cool, but we all found something fun to do. The younger kids spent hours on the beach digging, writing their names in gigantic letters, building castles with moats to catch the tide, and burying each other up to their chins. The older "kids," Larry and Maren included, learned to skimboard more or less successfully. Dominick, Rachel, Erin and Jacob more, Maren less! We went shopping in town, mostly for the fudge, and visited the aquarium. Kayaking in the breakers was definitely more exciting than on a lake, and wetter. We played soccer and capture the flag and had a bonfire on the beach. One day, a group went crabbing and we had a huge feast! Everyone enjoyed spending time together with cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents.
